Infants

Having infants in our care allows us to observe and celebrate the milestones that make parents proud. Rolling over, cooing, and smiling are occurrences that warm the heart.  Our goal for this age group is to nurture the infants as they begin to discover the world around them through auditory, sensory and visual stimulation.

Activities: Tummy time, eating from a spoon, responding to sounds and names, pulling up, holding items

One Year Olds

Beginning to walk, exploring objects and independent feeding are achievements to look forward to at this age. For our one-year old’s we strive to support each child as they meet these and other developmental milestones.

Two Year Old’s

Two-year old’s are in a stage of curiosity, which leads them to engage in activities such as walking without assistance, building with blocks, and observing/imitating simple actions. Our goal for this age group is to support their developmental, emotional, and social growth though activities that allow them to safely explore the world around them.

Activities: Finger painting, manipulating writing tools and drawing, Number, shape, color, and letter recognition.

Three Year Olds

As we interact with our three-year old’s, we put great emphasis on building on those skills they have developed in the prior stages. Three-year old’s are at a stage where their fine and gross motor muscles are being strengthened. Running, jumping, catching a ball with two hands, and buttoning buttons are opportunities for them to strengthen these muscles. Aside from physical development, we begin to delve deeper into academics with this age group. Foundational skills such as color, number, and shape identification are emphasized. Also reading and writing is introduced.

Activities: Recognizing names, colors, and numbers, identifying letters and their corresponding sounds and participating in educational field trips

Four Year Old’s

Four-year old are in the preparation stage. With this age group we are intently focused on developing and strengthening the skills that are necessary for academic success. Our goals for this age group are that they have a sound understanding of print concepts (reading left to right, top to bottom), can identify letters, sounds, and their name when clearly written. Additionally, we strive to ensure that these children have a solid foundation to build number sense though activities that engage them in counting, number recognition, and simple addition and subtraction. Writing is also a component of our curriculum implemented through various task.
